Ben Rudge
Goalkeeper.
|
| Ben has been with us since the U7's and was
Clubman of the year in 2003. His |
| keeping skills have improved every year. Ben is big, brave and vocal
and has |
| prevented many goals by closing down opponents and getting something
on the |
| ball. His attitude can not be faulted and is a please to have in the
squad. |
|
|
Anthony O'Brien
Goalkeeper
|
|
Ant is a big lad
with a strong presence and started this season in goal once |
|
again. With a view to 11-a side Ant was given
the opportunity to play outfield, |
|
scoring a vital goal against Fleetwood Gym, to
give us 3 valuable points in his |
|
first outing. He has also put some strong
performances in at the back. |
|
|
Liam Rattray
Defender
|
|
Liam had a
fantastic season in 2004/5. He is one of the most improved players |
|
in the squad. He has been ever present on the
left side of defence. He also gives |
|
balance at the back and is a solid lad, who
has good timing in the tackle. Liam |
|
is a popular squad member who was voted this
years Players Player of the Year. |
|
| |
Johnathan Sherwood
Defender
|
Jonnie is a big lad who will always battle. He loves
those bone-crunching challenges. He has two good feet and has given us
options on both sides of the field, bringing balance to the team. Had a
spell in midfield during the winter months last season to add some strength
and bite. |
| |
Callum Wilson
Defender
|
Cal is Mr Consistency. He is one of the best
defenders in the league. Very quick and aggressive. Never loses a 50/50
ball. Callum will always listen; his attitude cannot be faulted. He was
voted Players Player of the Year in 2003 and can now add this Years Managers
Player of the Year to his roll of honour. |
| |
Bradley Lynden
Defender
|
Brad is one of the jokers in our pack; lots of
character and personality, never scared to tell you what he thinks. His
strength and power and his loss at no cost attitude have seen him have
superb games last season. Brad has the attributes to become an 11 - a side
Captain. |
|
Milo McManus
Defender
|
| Milo was Clubman of the year 2003. Milo had a
tough start to last years |
| season through illness and had to build his strength and stamina
back up. |
| He worked very hard and showed character and heart to gain a regular
role on the |
| right of midfield where in his last two games he was voted Man of
the Match. |
|
| |
Conor Hepenstall
Midfield
|
Conor joined at the end of last season, plays
mostly in midfield, but can also figure in defence. A big lad who is strong
in the challenge, and also good in the air. Conor will bring these
qualities, and add strength to our 11- a side squad. Threatens on set
pieces, a very pleasant lad who always gives his all. |
| |
Ryan Owens
Midfield
|
Ryan joined us at the end of last season. An excellent
midfielder who always gives 100%. He will run all day long chasing those
lost causes. Ryan has also been an option to use as a striker making him a
very versatile player, a good header of the ball who will always go for the
challenge. |
|
Jamie Gibson
Midfielder
|
| "J" Is a Quality Player, pace to burn, bags of
skill and a ferocious tackler. He |
| needs to believe in his ability more. J is a great little character;
cheeky in a nice |
| way, a bit of a joker who really enjoys football. He was chosen to
receive the |
| Jason Anderton Memorial Award last season
because of these qualities. |
|
| |
Ryan Booth
Midfield
|
Ryan has improved beyond all
recognition. A lovely silky footballer with an excellent first touch. A
great passer of the ball who will be a real asset at 11- a side. Ryan has
battled hard to gain a place in the team which is a testament to his
character. Very pleasing for a coach to see such progress. |
| |
Ashley Malpas
Striker
|
Ash is very technically gifted. He can do kick ups all
day. Always loves to have the ball at his feet. Last season was the best so
far for Ash. He had some good spells in the team giving us that attacking
option from midfield. He chipped in with eight goals last season some of
which were match winners. |
|
Lee Smith
Striker
|
| Lee is our Mr Versatile. A great player for a
Manager to have. He is very strong in |
| many positions from back to front. Loves running at players; very
competitive |
| and is a very able and agile keeper. Lee was named Man of the Match
in every |
| position last season and has been voted Parents Player of the Year
2003 & 2004 |
|
|
Sean Crossley
Striker
|
| Sean joined us at the beginning of last season
and is a true forward. He has an |
| eye for goal. He is still coming to terms with the pace of the game.
Loves Goal |
| hanging. Most of his goals last season came from two yards out;
something that |
| was missing from our team. A very pleasant lad who is constantly
improving. |
