18/04/06 Blackpool Rangers 0 Clifton Rangers 0
Another great result for Blackpool Rangers against 5th place Clifton.
Considering Rangers only had 11 players available, and the recent 6 v 0 beating
by Clifton, this was a remarkable turn around. Good defensive work by all today
notably Ryan Booth and Liam Rattray who received the man of the match award for
some good keeping.

4/04/06 BJFF 4 Blackpool Rangers 0 This was always
going to be a hard game for Rangers after the 9 v 0 defeat a fortnight ago to BJ,
But with a few managerial changes and better weather conditions Rangers looked
so much stronger. Liam Rattray stepped in to give Ben Rudge a well earned break
in goals. There was not much to separate the two sides after around 20 mins, but
BJ, controlled the later of the first half with some good passing and two well
taken goals. The second half was virtually a repeat of the first with BJ not
looking their usual selves. This result was a much improved performance which
must give the lads a boost of confidence. If we can hold BJFF, Spiit, and Lytham
to only a 4 goal deficit then we are not too far away from turning the results
around. Man of the match went to Calum Wilson

26/03/06 Blackpool Rangers 0 BJFF 9
19/03/06 Clifton Rangers 6 Blackpool Rangers 0 A
scrappy start on a very narrow Clifton pitch saw both teams struggle to keep the
ball in play. Clifton scored their first through a goal mouth scramble after 25
mins. They add a second just prior to the break. There really was not much
between both teams in the middle of the park except Clifton were very strong on
the break and put the Rangers defence under constant pressure. Good displays
from Connor, Chris, Calum, and Jamie today. MOTM Calum (WELL DONE CALUM)
5/03/06 Blackpool Rangers 1 Fleetwood Gym 2 With
everything to play for this should have been an end to end game, but both teams
started off very slowly on a very bobby pitch. Fleetwood broke the deadlock with
a penalty through a hand ball decision after 20 mins. Rangers Sean
Crossley equalised through a similar incident at the Fleetwood end just before
the break. Rangers Jonathan Sherwood, Calum Wilson, Milo Mcmanus, Ryan Booth,
and Connor Heppenstall work hard in both midfield and defence to keep Fleetwood
at bay for nearly all the second half. With 10 mins to go Fleetwood have a free
kick just outside the box which Rangers fail to defend. Man of the match Ryan
Booth.
26/02/06 Blackpool Rangers 0 Spirit of Youth 4 This
was always going to be a difficult game for Rangers facing the league leaders
Spirit of Youth, but the display Rangers gave through hard work and defensive
determination sent a clear message to the rest of the league, that there are no
easy games in the U 11 league. After 25 mins Spirit score their first from a
free kick on the edge of the box. They add a second mins later on the break.
Rangers suffer yet another goal just prior to the half time whistle. With
Rangers 3 v 0 down they dig deep to deny Spirit for nearly the entire second
half, until Spirit score another from a free kick just outside the box. The
result was a massive improvement from the 9v0 beating Spirit gave Rangers at
home earlier in the season. scoring just 2 goals in open play. This is credit to
a team who lost nearly all their first team players at the end of last season,
and to the guidance and continued support the Manager gives the team. Man of the
Match Jamie Gibson (4 TIMES THIS SEASON NOW JAMIE)
19/02/06 Poulton Youth 5 Blackpool Rangers 0 A
great start from Rangers saw the sides at 0v0 after 30 mins. Poulton score their
1st through a fine shot which gave the keeper no chance in the large goals.
Several more shots from Poulton were thwarted by keeper Ben Rudge before Poulton
earn their second from a free kick just outside the box. Lots of pressure from
the PY No 10 down the left flank kept Rangers at bay. PY start the second half
with 3 goals within 5 mins, but for the rest of the game Rangers defend and
close all the PY attacks. Good displays from Callum Wilson (MOTM) and Jamie
Gibson who gave their all.
12/02/06 Blackpool Rangers 0 FC Rangers 0 Blackpool

FC Rangers. BR almost score with a close range shot by Sean. BR continue to deny
all attempts from FC with some gritty defensive work from Liam, Connor, Callum ,

5/02/06 Thornton 2 Blackpool Rangers 0 A determined
start from both teams resulted in few chances at either end during the first 20
mins. Thornton broke the deadlock with a good goal on the right just prior to
the half time whistle. Rangers take the game to Thornton early in the second
half with some strong midfield runs from both Jordan Bullen, Lee Smith and Ryan
Booth. Thornton pile on the pressure during the remainder of the game needing
some fine saves from Ben Rudge. Credit must also go to Jonathan (TROJAN)
Sherwood who inspired his team mates with total determination and effort. A GOOD
EXAMPLE TO ALL. Rangers continue to attack but fail to finish. Man of the Match
Goes to Ben Rudge (Well Done).
29/01/06 Blackpool Rangers 0 Foxhall 2 End to end
football was the order of the day, Foxhall scored their first goal from a corner
kick just prior to the half time whistle. Their second followed a goal mouth
scramble. Good defensive work today from Jonnie and Ben who kept Foxhall at bay
several times. Rangers were unlucky to capitalise after some strong runs in
midfield from Lee Smith. A WELL DESERVED MAN OF THE MATCH AWARD GOES TO JONATHAN
SHERWOOD.
22/01/06 St Annes 6 Blackpool Rangers 2 St Annes
start with good possession and threat down the left flank. After 30 mins St
Annes break the deadlock, and add two more just before the interval. Rangers
have several near misses with what should have been two or three goals. With the
score at 5 v 0 Sean Crossley score's for Rangers with a goal mouth scramble.
This gives Rangers a boost of confidence as they add a second mins later through
a Connor Heppenstall drive. Still continuing the pressure down the left side the
St Annes No 10 sets up yet another goal to finish the scores at 6 v 2. AN

suffered their biggest defeat of the season on a very cold wet and windy
afternoon in Lytham. All credit to the YMCA team who deserved their victory with
some excellent passing and the will to win. Credit must also go to Ben Rudge and
Jonathan Sherwood who stopped even more goals going in. MOTM Jonathan Sherwood
(Well Done Johnnie).
11/12/05 Blackpool Rangers 1 Warton
2 A welcome return home saw Rangers in a close encounter with
rivals Warton. A good start to the game from Rangers who score with a
Chris Davis goal. Several more shots continue with some good saves from
the Warton keeper. Warton hit the post just before the interval to give
Rangers a half time lead. Good strong defensive work from Jonathan
Sherwood, lee Smith, Milo McManus and Connor Heppenstall deny several
Warton onslaughts. Warton continue to pile on the pressure with Ben
Rudge needing to make some good saves. Rangers continue to fight hard in
the midfield battles, with Jordan Bullen, and Jamie Gibson both having
outstanding games. Warton level the scores with just 10 mins to go.
Rangers who could be onto a share of the points get caught on the run
after a gaol mouth scramble at the Warton end, to concede a last min
Warton goal. MOTM Jordan Bullen
4/12/05- Squires Gate 4 Blackpool
Rangers 2 Frustrated is probably the best way to describe this
encounter for Blackpool Rangers. After the first 5 minutes Rangers went
ahead through a fine display of body swerves from Chris Davis, only to
be ruled off side. Squires gate went 1 up after some good football at the other end.
Just before half time Sean Crossley beat the keeper to even the scores.
Some good football at the start of the second half by the Squires Gate
No 6, put SG 4v1 in front. Ryan Owens answered the Managers call to come
on as a substitute with a superb strike on goal, now with the score at 4v2. Rangers kept the pressure on with what
should have been an equaliser from a close range goal from Sean only to
be ruled off side. Some excellent football by the entire team
today noticeably Jamie Gibson who received the MOTM award.
WELL DONE LADS YOU MORE THAN DESERVED TO WIN THIS
GAME TODAY, THE MANAGER AND PARENTS ARE PROUD OF YOU ALL!

of the table clash. Nothing to separate the two sides with some good
midfield battles. Wyre edged in front before half time to take a 1 goal
lead. With 10 mins to go Wyre increased their lead further with a good
goal on the break. Rangers eager not to give up the fight attacked the
Wyre defence several times resulting in their fist goal in 8 matches.
Good displays from Calum, Brad, Milo and Johnnie at the back, and Lee
Smith who earned the Man of the Match award for a good performance in
both defence and midfield.
